I can't imagine being a mom like back when my grandmas were mothers. It's insane to be expected to do 100% of the work. Granted, I don't have another job, but Jacob & I do a pretty good job of splitting up the work when he is home and it's great that I can get out and do whatever at night. There's no way we would have had kids if I'd be expected to do everything - raising kids is hard and never ending work. I'm amazed at the good single moms and wonder how they do it.
Hey Urs - or whoever it is that maintains this site - is there anyway to change the colors? I hate to be picky and a jerk, but I seem to get a pounding headache immediately after reading stuff on this site! Sorry to be a jerk!
The 17 Bottles Of project began with Urs and Sig and a bunch of other people in 1999. Unfortunately, the original, in a blue spiral notebook, has vanished. It was a fun project, though, so we're starting over. Hopefully this one will be a bit harder to misplace.
2011 UPDATE: Word on the streets is that the J.Mo. has located the notebook and has it in her possession. We'd love to see it some day...

I love that article on shared parenting. That seems like a really good way to raise kids.

Lisa, I've been thinking the same thing, I'll see what I can do tonight.
Thanks a ton Urs - it looks great :)
